How should I market my Plentyoffish dating software clone?

Hi there..

Next week I will start the sale of a nice dating software clone of the well known free dating site: Plentyoffish.com.

The name of the software is (PlentyOfFishclone) and I am wondering how I can make this sale of the perfect software a success? To boost up the initial sales I offer members of this forum the opportunity to pre-order it for just $49. After this pre-order time I sell the script at a price of $199. I think the pre-order thing is important to kickstart, right?

What else techniques do you recommend me to do?

Do you have demos up to show people what your software does? I was looking for a dating script and could possibly be persuaded to change my original script if you could show me a demo of you program. Consider me your guinea pig, it will prepare you for your launch and the million questions that go along with a launch of a new product. Good luck with the sale though no matter what :-)

I am pretty new to online marketing, so I hope I can get some advice from you guys here.. Unfortunately I cannot share a lot of my knowledge (yet) but i'm sure I will get some shortly since I am busy with launching a new product..

That's a good idea Colleen. I think the big sites pretty much have the internet covered as far as dating sites are concerned. There are thousands of dating sites out there, maybe even millions. It's too difficult to compete with them. But, if you can create a local specific site (such as your Mississauga dating site) then you can get out in the community and promote on the ground. I think that's the only way to really succeed these days with a dating site. You have the advantage of being able to promote at local high schools, local newspapers, hangout places, etc. I believe that will be your edge over the competition.

I've been thinking more locally myself recently... not with dating sites but with other ideas.

haha.. funny people here.. but Yes, it's true about the dating. You never cannot compete with the big guys, but never say never..

I always think there room for everybody on the web. Just as long as you approach your target market from an unusual and original angle. Just don't go in and try to copy what the big boys are doing, cannot beat them there. Do loads of research and then try offer something they aren't

My local site has been begging me for a dating script addition to it... I guess I have alot of dorky desperate guys LOL j/k I think there is still a need for dating scripts especially when you go down to a more local level. They don't want to deal with the "big guys" they want to know they will be meeting locals on a local site (or atleast thats what I'm hoping)

go to adwords bid for keyword plentyoffish as you see thee are no bidders for it but traffic volume is good.so advertise as "plentyoffish clone" "better than plentyoffish" keywords you'll get huge traffic.
