Does Selling links from a new website will harm it in PR?
If your site is new who will buy link from you ?
If Google catches you buying links, you’re sunk. But couldn’t you just do it all sneaky so Google doesn’t notice? Probably, but keep in mind Google still hates it and will blast your site if they find out you’re doing it.

you can sell for free.. as links from your site will not improve SERP, as it is new... wait for few months and then sell..

I don't think it will harm PR, but it won't help it either. I would build up some popularity, PR and more importantly good SERP positions first. Then sell adverts.

I agree that if Google catches you, you'll be banned. May be it's better you do some optimization and then you should speak about some sells.
I have 3 sites penalized with PR 0 for selling links through text-link-ads. And I'm talking about quality sites, that had PR 3 or 4. So think twice before doing it.
(However and that's very important, the SE rankings of these sites was not influenced at all)
If you dont have PR then you dont loose a thing
Selling to...whom? You should be interested in building your own links, not selling to others. Grow up and then you can worry about that.

If your site has PR and you keep building links and content from it then I guess Google will not mind since your building links too and your content is really unique but I guess as long as Google will not catch you then you will be fine
First, if your site is new obviously is will have no PR, and secondly i'm not sure anyone would want to bother buying links from a new site with very little content that has been properly indexed.
That said, one of my sites was previously taken of the SERP for selling links and it trust me it did hit my pocket![]()
There are many possibilities. You can be safe or you can be penalized by google.
Recently google has been penalizing websites for selling links and advertisements to other websites. Whether that may be a new website or an old one.
But as its a new website, let it grow without much outgoing links. Just build the content and promote it. Try to avoid linking out to many websites and avoid selling links. When you build it good enough, you can then sell links in private if you wish to, without a disclosure that its paid links.
It won't harm or help the PR of your website, and as the site is new, avoiding linking out will help in better PR rise for the next pagerank update.

Build up some reputation first before thinking of selling links. No one will be interested in buying links if your site does not have a PR and with zero visitors a day.
As what I have heard - selling links can harm your blog so better be sure to limit the number of links you are going to sell.
Dont sell links, it might hurt your SERP just like what others are saying. It's new so nobody will buy from it anyway.
If you are selling to a relevant site google will consider it but be careful. I am selling links on my fashion blogs but with relevant site only because i have a PR 2 fashion blog on wordpress before and it dropped on PR 0. It took me months before it returned to PR 2.
its better when you choose to sell links to content related sites becouse you get more profits from it
Buying and selling links is against Google's terms and conditions. I suggest you should not practice this kind of method.
