I am getting flooded with these emails, does anyone know if its real or someone trying to get into my email account?? That address isnt even mine.

Just delete it.
MS knows you've been using your account without filling in that form and they would never ask you to fill in a form to verify it.
It's dumb. All they have to do is set a computer program to check access logs. Anyone who hasn't used their account in ## months is deleted.
Simple and doesn't require human intervention.

Also They would never ask for your password either

no real web site is going you to ask you to verify squat. in fact this particular scammer is lazy. usually the more motivated ones would have you click on a link that takes you to a fake website and then enter the info...this guy must be a hack newb scammer

Yes, I also have received many such like this, and also send it after design in yahoo page to many but not any response from any one.

This rash of spam seems to be a common occurrance anytime a major provider undergoes an upgrade or major system changes becuase hackers think people will be more easily victimized during these times. AOL used to be overrun by these types of scams, especially after the major lawsuits in the late 90's. NEVER EVER EVER EVER verify your information. It is much better to let your account be shutdown than compromise the integrity of your login.

Just a phishing email, phishing is pretending to be from authority sites usually Paypal,eBay, or your bank, but can also venture into your email accounts and social networking accounts, to cause you to give your usernames and passwords for the nefarious purposes of the scammers
