Thread: Does MSN hate my website?

Hello,

I have a problem: one of my websites is not indexed at MSN. They only index subdomains like "blog.XXX.com" or "forum.XXX.com" but not the maindomain ("XXX.com"). That's the status for nearly one year now. There are links to the main- from the subdomain, but no effect. What can I do? Any ideas?

Have you tried submitting your site to their their search engine? You can do so at this link:

Analyse the keywords for which the subdomains indexed. Use them in the root too.
Also, r uusing a robots.txt in your subdomain folder? If so, make sure to crawl allowed for the root too. Check the " Allow: , Disallow: " in the .txt file

MSN hates everyone, so don't take it personally.

I've heard that the best way to get indexed by MSN is by getting a backlink for a PR4+ site that's already in their index. Pretty stupid system if you ask me.

It really takes some time to get indexed in MSN. Just make your site visible to SEs. You actually don't need to submit it.

Hey how old is your site is? You must have to wait for 3 months.

It wouldn't come as a suprise as Bing, the seaqrch engine colaboration of MSN and Yahoo only counts one page in the domain
