PR (Google Pagerank) is a number from 0-10 measuring a websites backlinks (and therefore how popular that site is)

My add: that is the index all of web masters chase for and it absolutely useless for the web site ranking in google SERP - IMO

Formula developed by Google to determine a web pages "inbound link ranking" Often referred to as "PR" value.
