Page rank is not important anymore?

The page rank is not important any more? because I have two sites with same keyword one is pr1 and the other is PR3 but the first one is in the first place on google before than the PR3 site.

You already have the proof that having a high PR does not necessarily mean that you have an advantage on SERP. So I guess, for SERP, its not an important factor. For me, it is nice to have but can do without it.

Google as stated over and over again that Pagerank is only 1 factor out of hundreds that contribute to where a website's placement in the search results. Other factors include:

Domain age
Domain name
Your competition
On-site SEO
Backlinks
Page loading speed
Bounce rate

...and many more. This is why SEO/SEM and website promotion needs be done holistically.

I agree. I've been saying for a while that PageRank doesn't necessarily equate to a good/popular site.
When it was just a measure of backlink weight and authority, you knew where you stood. Now Google consider other factors, some of which are personal.

PR has no impact on my sites - Content , social media , use of video , on page , bounce , links and speed is what I find important - Dont care bout PR
