    Default Page Rank Predictor

I don't care about PR one way or another for the most part, I however now have a few projects that has me worrying about PR a bit more for once.

Can anyone recommend a fairly accurate PR prediction tool? I'm using the one from iwebtool.com which shows I should have a 6 this time around and lots of 5's, anyone know of this tool is at least semi accurate?

I think iwebtool's is as close as you'll get to a pr prediction checker could be, but as you know there's no guarantees.

I've had it "predict" correctly a few times but who knows.

It's safe to say it is pretty good.

If it's even close that would be awesome. Brand new sites I've not spent much at all in promoting or link building yet already estimating a pr4. Can't complain with that

Now to sit back and wait for the next update, and then more than likely at least 1 more after that until 'todays' stats count!

Yep pr4 is so easy compared to trying to get pr5 Unbelivable the difference it takes (in terms of work involved)

But pr is real good for first pr for a site (onwards and upwards)

lol I know that, but for site being under a month old and barely any effort being pur forth I'll gladly take the 4

Pr 5 isn't that hard to get either, I have alot of them.

Just give me the urls, and I will give you a prediction of pr.

Heck, don't give me the urls and I can still give you a prediction!:slaugh:

    Here is my prediction:
All sites will have pr of 3 to 10 in the next update.

No tool can predict PR, Its all scam. How can someone predict PR without even knowing PR algorithm? PR predictor used to be accurate when people could query google and get live PR value. And that was stopped in past.

I am sure it's not basing it on the algorithm, it appears to base the prediction on the backlinks, and the quality of those backlinks.

Well, the predication they gave me was wrong. For both public PR Updates. Disappointing. But then I guess, it was all my fault.

Of course it is based on backlinks and quality of backlinks.

    From Google's PageRank Tecnology:
    # PageRank Technology: PageRank performs an objective measurement of the importance of web pages by solving an equation of more than 500 million variables and 2 billion terms. Instead of counting direct links, PageRank interprets a link from Page A to Page B as a vote for Page B by Page A. PageRank then assesses a page's importance by the number of votes it receives.
you must know that PageRank is not as such simple algorithm so that anyone who just know the quality and quantity of backlinks can calculate it.

    1) How do you know exact number of backlinks to your site/page by the way?

    2) How do know the number of backlinks each webpage linking to you have? and so on, and so on...

Internal PR is continuously changing and you can not calculate PR unless you have index of billions of pages on the web and access to PageRank algorithm. It simply means, no one other than Google's system can predict or tell PR. Also, currently no one can probe Google's system to detect real-time PR.

Its mean, every tool claiming to predict PR is a simple scam, and many people complaining that they don't work is also a little proof of it.

Tools have always been off for me too, I used one of them here which ranked my blog @ a PR 4 for the next update, I mentioned it here for a link exchange, I felt like an idiot because I was wrong.. On the update, I was only a PR 2.

Personally my only PR worry is my forum, my blog which is random ramblings doesn't mean much to me as far as search results.. Although Google has me as #1 for "big dan".

Not really..iWeb uses MSN to get backlinks count. and PR it predicts, is totally based on those link counts. they have a lame algo to detect the PR.
They dont even check the quality of backlinks, trust me on that. if MSN gives low to mid XXX amount of BLs, it will predict you will have 2-3 PR(even if those links include PR 6-7 pages linking to you..), if MSN gives high XXX to Low XXXX links, it will predict PR 4, if MSN returns mid XXXX link count, it will predict 5-6 PR and if it high XXXX and upwards, it will give you higher PR.

If anyone got the result accurate its just a chance of probability.. 1 in 100 chance. Heck if anyone predict PR randomly, he will have a better shot.

i think iweb tool is fine to use. it may not give you an accurate one but at least you can have an idea of your PR status. and besides there's nothing to loose in using these tools.

i used to trust iwebtool up until the recent update... it predicted that my forum will be PR5 (and i thought it will be, considering the tons of backlinks), and my blog will remain PR0...

after the update it turned that forum only climbed to PR4(after pr3) and the blog hit PR5. it also couldnt "predict" accurately two other sites taht got PR5... i dunno why, guess it's like forecast, u know know if it was right the next day
