Thread: How True it is that Google Pagerank is Gone or Will be Gone?

lol Hilarous Love It, yea isn't that something. Google has so much money that it can spend money to market something that in their own words in not important lol.

I really want to slap whoever writes these PR/Press Releases for them

They're not claiming that, if I understand their position correctly. They are saying that it is less important than people thought. They said it is only a very small factor, but still a factor.

Yea, it is hard now a days to even know what the hell is going on with google. They are so ambiguous with everything, so all of the content found out there online about PageRank and google are all speculation pretty much.

So I may have read into someone else's own ideas about PageRank while reading their article about it. Because Offiicially there is nothing about this directly from Google

I personally, like a lot of people, don't waste my time worrying about PageRank. Traffic, SERPs and profits are all much higher on the priority list.

Yea, currently at present I am placing most of my time and work in improving both of my sites internal links structure, and improving my social media presence

Good video! I've actually done the first example for one of my big sites, I just didn't know it was called "link pyramid". I might try that second example if I figure out a good strategy.

Instead of using your main url use pages in your site. (Big G sends people to pages not main urls)

Do it to enough different pages and your sites might become an authority site.

That is what I am doing now. Crossing my fingers that it works.

Very Good Idea, Let me know how it works for you. I have been sending out page specific tweets, with the URL to the page in the tweet and a link to the page.

Just started doing that this week, and Today I officially got my first site visitor from twitter, also since then all of URL i have sent out through twitter are now showing up in my Yahoo Site Explorer Back Links.

Would be awesome to become an authority, if you do it I would say glad to know you and that I actually met someone to was able to do it.

If you want to get traffic to your site that converts into sales, then FORGET about PageRank. Instead of drooling over something you really don’t even understand, maybe you should concentrate on writing something people want to read, or working on your on-page SEO, or maybe even market and promote your site.

Whether the visual representation of the little green bar is here to stay or not is almost irrelevant. PR is just the physical manifestation showing how much authority/backlinks a website has linking back to it. If they took away this, all it would do is make it more difficult to discern a websites true value when selling advertising, banners and links, or even sale.

I never really saw any point in the google pr. the thing is the thing doesn't have anything to do with the traffic of the website. i think it just is a way to judge the quality of the website.

Yea, I doubt that this will go away any time soon. It is such a core element of Google's algorithm.

Google will keep their PR service, but they said that we shouldn't overrate it, but still many peoples do it and invest lots of money to improve their PR.

It doesn't actually matters if it's gone or will be gone. It's actually useless after all. It might be true cause it's been quite some time since its last update compare to how it used to update every 3months.
