Thread: When does google check all the PR of all the sites?

I have heard its like once a week also heard once a year. Does anyone when they check ?

Suposed to be every 3 months (i.e. quaterly), but google just do it whenever they feel like it - and as Vectro said, it's nothing important.

From what I understand they are constantly spidering and updating. The actual pagerank is different sometimes than what is shown on the toolbar which is updated every 3 months or so, today being a new update.

Google updates all the time. They just don't export the data to the google toolbar everyday. A major update varies. I have seen as early as 2 months time, and up to 6 months in the past. No exact dates on google's part, but people come to expect 3 month averages. I have also seen where they will do a major update followed by a minor update or tweak shortly after to make some adjustments. And sometimes they do a minor update of inner pages some time between major updates.

At any rate since they just updated one would assume around 3 months give or take until the next one now, but you really never know.

I think every 3-4 months.

Noone knows but Google. But really, internally, I am sure it's updated continually. It's only what is visibe to outside that gets updated... Although I am not 100% sure.

No one can really predict when the next PR update will be. Don't get bothered by it. Simply focus on improving your the backlinks of your site instead.

Everytime the PR database is updated google bot checks every single site. This usually happens every 3-4 months.

Thanks for this thread! It was really bugging me to have done SO much work on my sites and not see any PR updates. 3-4 months seems about right. Im on month two, so hopefully i'll see some changes soon

When google crawled doesn't no....

google checks the pr every 3-4 months, but it updates them only after every 6 months, i guess. The recent change was in mid-january.

Network wide PR has not been updated in 6 months at this point. Not sure if it ever will be again.

It used to be once every quarter of the year but lately I supposed it has been change to every half of the year since the last update was delayed for 3 months. But just as other said, not that it matters at all.
