Hello guys,

Previous month, we undertook an experiment on online marketing and submitted a fresh website to Google. Just in 30 days, the page rank improved from 0 to 6.

We used a whitehead techniques for carrying out the experiment.

We took two projects in the experiment, in which project 1 consumed five years, on site optimization strategies, 20,000 backlinks and managed to grab top ten positions in Google.

Project 2 took 30 days, 35 backlinks, on site optimization strategies and did not even get a position in top 500.

I cant post more infos as the research was created for online-marketing.ch - which I work at. Anyway, this experiment however showed that even with a PR 6, a SERP isnt that much influenced by the value we see on the toolbar Page Rank.

What techniques your put in your project 1 pls tell i also want to know how can a site get PR and ranked in google top 10 result in 30 days. awaiting for your reply onlinemarketing

Google Page Rank has nothing to do with the SERP. SERP's normally depend on the number of backlinks pointing to your site. The more the number of backlinks to your site the higher will be your chances to rank high on SERP's.

I prefer good traffic is better than PageRank

PR is a factore but, as you see, it is not the only one. There are many factors like the content quality, visitors, etc.

This is the 100% true that if you have high page rank then this is not necessary that you will get the position into the search engine ranking. PR shows a website reputation and quality which is measures by the Google. PR is means the wensite is trust worthy.

do you want Page Rank,you mast improve backlinks.

Ranking is part of the tools we use to get in top 10. But as we know, content is king.

I would like to see your 2 websites to compare the content and other parts on the pages.

Can you send the url of the websites ?

The basis of SERP and PR is caculated by Google in two different algorithm. Ways to improve ranking is different from the ways to improve your PR.

Last year I've read somewhere that PR is just one of about 200 factors that influence the position of a Web site in SERPs and it is not the most important one, of course.

Doesn't it makes sense? PR and ranking have different basis. They are calculated in different terms.

The algorithm to calculate PageRank is described (you can find a corresponding article in Wikipedia) - it depends on the backlinks. Ranking depends on many factors - the number of backlinks, the contents, PR, etc. So partly their basis is the same - the backlinks. In addition, PR influence PageRank directly.

Including all the replies over this thread, i also in favor to make lots of back-links from High PR having websites is only responsible to increase your website PR.

Page Rank is just a ancient era factor. It has almost no effect in SERPs. I've seen a lot of unraked / PR0 sites in front of PR5-PR6 sites in searches. Just follow the keyword strategy. Don't waste your time with not interesting factor.

Yes I agree, but i'm also interested to know what did you do to have the new site a PR in just 30 days.

I also agree with previous replies and obviously both follow different algorithm.

if your site has good backlinks , any word on the content will become a keyword search for search engines

If it is true then it is really a good research work........I will also check sites with good page rank

I am always select the web traffic... after the select page rank.... so thanks for the sharing this information...

I agree with you, PR and traffic both have different basis and PR has nothing to do with traffic.

I think both SERP and Google PR are importance

I prefer good traffic is better than PR

Page rank is nothing in compare to good rank in serp. Serp ranking create traffic to website, results a great revenue, but PR doesn't create any amount of traffic in term of business

Me too, I prefer higher traffic than page rank. Though it is helpful to have higher page rank so that the site will be on P1 in Google. But who cares I have lots of traffic so meaning many people goes to my website.
