Shows up where? It's in my Google Toolbar and the sites that grab PR, it's everywhere.

Yeah, we didn't have it anywhere til I posted it. I had been checking the toolbar and datacenters daily. Had just checked 2-3 hours before and it was zero in both places.

So... PR update takes place over a week ago but it is just showing up now.

That's what I'm wondering now as well. I think I need to recheck some of my newer sites.

EDIT: No change on my newer sites but one of my older sites has seen the {homepage}/forums page go to up PR4 where previously it was a PR2 and the main front page was a PR4.

PR 2 for my blog & DJ forum. Another domain which I haven't really developed yet got a PR1.. That's weird. I'm thinking of turning it into a directory.

I just started submitting the DJ forum to directories, I'm aiming for a PR 4 or 5 on the next update.

I'm shocked. My Top vBulletin site has a PR 4 as of today.

I've busted my ass doing SEO on it, but I've had it less than 2 months. The former owner did nothing with it at all.

Has to be a mistake.........

However, my design site, both the website and the forum, also pulled in a PR - FINALLY. :bunny:

My blog got a PR2 too though I did nothing on it!

All my dirs got PR4's,I'm really content with the results for the time being!
Will be working harder in order to archive some PR6's!:twisted:

I just noticed tonight some internal pages have gotten rank on the DJ forum: Noppid's vBPicGallery, Arcade and DJ News (an RSS hack). All of them have a PR 2 the same as my index.

I wonder if it has anything to do with them being on my main navbar in big letters.

Edit:
Even my register (register.php) link has a PR 2 (only shown to guests/bots)

Changes actually started happeneing in December, but took a while for all servers to update, and there was some changing back and forth before it settled. It was a strange update that happened this time.

Same here.

My main site remained a pr5, damn it's been a 5 FOREVER but internal pages dropped. My categories used to always be a 4, another level in usually a 4 or 3. Now it's a 3 and then 2, or even worse.

Might be because of the recent redesign and link structure change.

I had just the opposite on one site. The home page went from 5 to 4, but the inner pages are 4, 3, 2 and 1 on down through the linking. That I like!

The other site got stronger in and out. That is cool.

But, the vBSEO site is way way ahead in the indexed pages department and still increasing. That's the first one I mentioned. Just a few weeks ago it was lost in the serps and supplemental. Actually both were. But the vBSEO site is recovering faster and stronger it appears.

The non vBSEo site has way way more backlinks too. So all this and a quarter will get ya a phone call is the lesson.

I´ve had a whole bunch of PR5 pages drop to 4´s. Really don´t have a clue why, since the incoming links have been increasing steadily. Could be that these days sites in general have a lot more incoming links than let´s say a few years ago, and it takes more to get high PR these days.

Added: crap I am turning into one of those PR consipracy theorists which I hate so much!

I think it's because there is more to PR than just backlinks. I know I'm in the minority there, but I have so many expirements I have run showing that to be the case.

New sites also appear to jump up in PR only to get blasted down unless they show steady growth of both quality backlinks and the site itself in my experience.

Yes, I only track a couple of sites. My others are workhorses and I take what I get.

However, having a few of them, I have noticed your theory to be somewhat consistant to things I have seen. Such as out of the gate sites going PR5 with 4 articles and few backlinks while established sites with good back links, established traffic and constant expansion linger at PR4.

Honestly, the only sites I see have steady PR are the ones with a lot of deeplinks, mainly from static pages which have been indexed for a while.

Funny thing there though as we discuss observations.

I had steady PR for about two years at 5. I used to work the home page linking. Then I was advised, wisely, to get links out to folders and topics, so I did.

The reward was a lot of inner PR. Enough to be proud of. But a drop in home page PR.

Go figure!
