Lol, you don't mean a literal update hey?Getting everyone excited!!
I know the scope of what we are seeing(only 3 dc's) is really limited, but hey, it's a clear as day indication at least![]()

So there really is an update going on?
hmmm..
?
are you really sure that Google is updating the PR now?
linkarchive.org is now PR3..

Oh, well awesome! I have lots of sites to check!
Wow! It's definitely happening, I see PR on some of my Zero PR sites in some of those datacenters!![]()

Remember what I told you about being 'full of surprises' hahaha
rest my case
Now we need to get www.directorydump.com figured out. damn google!

Had it not been for you, I'd have not even known it was happening.![]()
Yeah, that's definitely a mystery, has me stumped...![]()
thank you anon..
i really check some of my sites if it has a pr..
Damnit, looks like I'm losing one of my pr5 sites
but a site I have not promoted at all, not one bit is raising to pr5 status...WTF that's our google![]()
Not much changes for us yet.
Ive not really had a change. One site has gone from 0/5, 3 of them are staying at 6. Others are small unimportant upgrades to 4 or below.
Hope to get some more soon!
My main site still stuck at pr5. WTF 'not meant as the domainI keep throwing links at this domain, pr5's, pr6's, had some pr7's. directories, etc, etc and it will not budge. Other sites barely have to try to hit pr5, yet a long standing pr5 simply refuses to budge.

Yep, an update is coming.
I'm not sure it'll hold out though long term, there's too many new sites jumping straight to PR5 and PR6. I have a PR7, 6, 5 and a 4.

Congrats, Darren.
I've cracked a PR5, but lost it in the last update. Maybe this update will be good to me.

Fingers crossed
Reading forum threads, it appears that this PR has been taken from sometime back in July, so any links you have gained (or lost) since July won't have been calculated in this PR update.
As we all know though the PR is always changing, but Google choose when to update it publically.

Well my main site, kalinawebdesigns.com is still PR5, but blog-themes.kalinawebdesigns.com is showing PR6 in some datacenters, so if this is accurate, that will be the highest PR for me.
Congrats Kalina! You're whooping my axx

That's great Kalina.
I'm a little disppointed that Travel Rants only managed a PR5, considering I have tons of PR6 sitewides, but after reading some forums, alot of my links were after July, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it'll increase in the next update.

Congratulations Kalina!

Thanks guys! Lots of sites using my Wordpress themes linking back.![]()
If anyone wants to talk about 'disappointment' come see me so that I can brighten your day with my own google woes over the last three updates, which are still resulting in PR0.

Anon, what's the URL? Pm me if you would prefer not to make it public.

So, when will the update show on the toolbar as well?

It could take up to a week Kalina.... It also might not update the toolbar.
I think they are too many people starting to increase directory prices, sell links on a webpage where the new Page Rank hasn't even appeared in the toolbar yet (has happened to me twice this week)

Ok. Well I hope the toolbar updates.
I noticed that as well.

Anom, I've not spent alot of time on this, but if your problems are with the URL in your profile, then it does have links pointing to it BUT, I have noticed you have the same directory but on different URL's.
If these URL's are in the same IP range, then your not going to get much love from Google - especially, IF there's a potential duplicate content issue. Like I said I didn't spend much time on it.
p.s. alot of your links showing are PR0 or are forum posts. Get some more better quality links, not PR0 sitewides.

TBH I think the main problems are that most of the links are PR0 links on sites which don't appear to be promoted, so whilst they stay at PR0 they are not really going to be any benefit for him.
BUT the same database dump in different URLs is going to be a problem especially on the same IP address. Travel Giant ebookers had the same problem and their UK version was banned from Google, and the international sites were all given PR0's.

Not happy with PR update this time. My site stays at PR5, no change (i mean no increase!). I feel they went hard on established sites and sites with PR>3. Even my friend's PR3 is still at 3.
But my other site which was PR0 jumped to PR2 within 2 months of starting it, so thats little surprising for me too.
I expected some increase for my established site, but it seems as you climb the ladder, it becoems increasingly difficult to rise in PR.
Darren dump is on it's *own* c class IP![]()
