Thread: PR has been just updated.

I found that PR has been just updated. My sites in general went down with 1 PR scale. It is a bad news for me! How about yours?

I have stayed the same on the most part. I had a couple of pages go up by one, and a couple go down by one, but all the index pages stayed the same. I wish this update could of been in a week or so though, because a couple of my newer sites that I have been obtaining links for were not affected in this updated

I had a horrific run, 24 of my sites had their PR reduced from 6 to 0. Thirty other sites either lost a notch and were unaffected. Only one site saw an increase in PR from 5 to 6.

Since we so sell text links on our sites, this is potentially highly damaging to us. So far our advertisers aren't leaving yet but we must try and sort this out by the next update.

So far, I have pointed more incoming links to the affected sites. I will also move some of the sites to another server to see whether there is a problem with the current server.

This has truely been a horrific week for us, it seems that our Adsense account had just been suspended. This is completely out of the blue as we do not participate in click fraud.

Google is cracking down on sites that sell or buy text links so that would be the reason your PR went down, as for Adsense, seeing as Google own that it could be for the same reason.

My PR6 sites stayed the same but some small new ones went from 0 to 3/4.
A site that had been PR5 last year but had slipped to 01 for some reason is now back where it should be, PR4.
