I'm just curious.

Pagerank 10. (PR 5 for 2 of my websites)

Regards/Puneet M.![]()
The highest I've ever had is a PR4... and I have that on 2 sites.
Pagerank isn't all that important in the grand scheme of things. Give me traffic over PR anyday!
pr4 on maybe a dozen or so sites
cant seem to get passed a pr4
This is so, so true.....too many people get hung up on PR. Some link directories won't even list you if you have less than PR2. The silly billies seem to think it does their website some good being linked to high ranking sites (with no reciprocal too!).Originally Posted by historum

Page Rank is important - okay, not for traffic or optimising your own website on the search engines, but it is important if you want to sell banner, text advertising on your website.
Advertisers are now looking for sites that have good PR, rather than sites with tons of visitors - obviously a site with both is at an advantage.

Definitely a good point Darren. My highest is PR5. Kind of hard to get higher I guess. Yeah, that's all it's really good for, getting people to pay for advertising, kind of silly I guess, isn't it?![]()

Yep, but companies thrive on it - on my travel blog, I have some large travel companies advertising, and thats not because they want tons of traffic from me, but they want the Page Rank.
The highest I've had is PR5 - but I'm confident my travel blog will be at minimum PR6 when they get to update properly!![]()
PR5 the highest here as well. My oldest site has been stuck at pr5 forever. No matter how many links I add to it the PR does not budge. Ohwell I don't sell links so I don't worry about it. I however find it funny other sites of mine have hit pr5 as well, or still are pr5 yet have only a fraction of the links to them 'in more competitive fields as well'![]()
I am at present having three PR5 sites and two PR6, besides one PR3. I am working on them hard to get as many beyond PR7 as possible.
I hope to get the boost in may be next update. This update didn't bring much change for me, just two sites got higher PR and rest maintained their position.

PR 6. From having a script used by a lot of webmasters that had a link to the site on every page. I got another site a PR 6 just by linking to it on my other PR 6 site, but that only lasted one update.
I am on PR4... oh man... my sites need to grow up!![]()
hey hummmm .... me too joining i am also just PR4.... with my one blog which is going to be PR0 next upate due to bad maintainance.

highest is PR6 now![]()

Had a PR5 on one of my internal pages (higher than home page) but it recently got devalued. Cest la vie!

The gap between PR4 and PR5 is, indeed, wide. For a long time, the best I could achieve was a PR4.
I had a PR5 that went down to a PR4 during the second last update.
I have received a PR5 in this latest update, too.
So, if you think you're stuck at PR4, give it time, keep getting backlinks. It'll happen.

True Zap, my site, apextemplates.com was PR4 for a long time, this last update put it at PR5. Thought it was stuck at PR4 forever.
my adult site was a PR 6 at one time... before the last indexing fiasco

It's like having an orgasm and being abruptly interrupted in the middle of it, or like one of those cakes that goes flat in the oven if you bang around too much, or was that just on the Flinstones?!:P

My first main site got pr3.
But the site i worked on least went to a pr5 and survived 2 updates at that.
It's strange how it happened as i done almost zero to it compared to the other 1.
stevie.
Currently.. highest is PR 6.Originally Posted by Vanhalen4041

my image hosting site best has been PR 4 but i hope to take it to PR5 or 6 in the next update!
I've been able to get a couple of my sites to pr 5 after the first update that they were up. What I noticed was that all or most of the inbound links were highly relevant and most had some pr and the sites also had either little or no outbound links.
I get initial PR5 for one of my site then it dropped to 4 last july. PR4 since then. It was PR5 when I was submitting my site to FFA links. As soon as I stopped that the PR dropped in the very next update.

I have been led to belive that google does not add or subtract if your links are on a link farm.
In other words, they just ignore links found in a link farm or maybe just not check known link farms.
Otherwise, there would be more link farms and they would be full of links of comptetitor sites.
EG: Chrysler could then add GM's links to every know link farm, etc.
But I agree, stay away from link farms as much as possible.
