A prob with PageRank of Google.

We i am facing a problem on my site since last 4 months.

I was running a vb forum for more then a year on a domain name. The page rank displayed on my site was about 4/10. (I placed my URL in google's webdirectory..) Now from last 4 months i have changed my domain name(a better domain name) which suits the content of my site, still the page rank of my index page of the site is 0/10. Why is that so... which all precations should i take while submittin domain on Google, yahoo, msn and so on.. For the new domain name, i did a lot of submittin work... Is this the reason that it shows 0 page rank? Where did i made the mistake? Or some other thing is wrong.

Need your suggestions guys...:angry-h::undecided:

You need to build up your Page rank, And then it changes whenit updates.

There was an update a few days ago where everyone seemed to have dropped in PR.

Just wait for a new update if yours hasn't changed? Keep getting backlinks and whatnot.

(ps, I know very little about PR.

There is a big issue on page rank now and many complaints were forwarded to google..especially to those sites that sells links..

You must make sure that your old domain is re-directed to the new one. Your new domain should inherit the pagerank eventually.

And what kind of redirect did you use? It matters.

hmmm i m gettin 2/10 rite now, earlier it used to be 4/10...
I agree that the traffic has decreased by 50% on my site nowadays... and yaa i have checked the redirect thing... it was not fixed properly... now its working fine.. called up the host and they did the setting for me. Still m not happy with PR of my site :sad02:
