ok so i sell php web scripts and i been getting alote of Unauthorized payments

i use a purchase page that logs the users ip# and so on

so i sent that info to paypal

however i dont think my chances are too good as paypal almost always goes with the buyer

Especially with digital goods.

For some reason, there seem to be a lot of hacked paypal accounts.
Whoever hacks them, goes on a buying spree.

i think i am going to start waiting 24 hours before i send the item

Truthfully, you will probably lose sales.
I like to get my purchase now.
I hate it when I got to sites that say "will be one or two days for download"
That is those sites that at least have that up front before one pays.

What gripes me, is nothing is said about any delay in delivery, I pay, and then go to a page that says something like "thank you for purchasing. Because of hackers, cheaters, scammers, and so forth, it will be 2-3 days before you receive an email with your download link".

I had one of those earlier, and boy, I bitched on DP to the seller for not being upfront about this bit.
He sent me my script pronto!

i know how you feel

however i loose money every time someone purchases and they are sent the script within minutes then they do chargeback

my next step will be using license keys this way if there is a chargeback i can disable the key and the script will be no good to them

Chargeback or unauthorized?
There is a difference at paypal.
But either way, if you show paypal that they paid and received the product, never emailed or contacted you for a refund, paypal at least half the time, actually sides with the seller.
Especially when they see the account has a history of buying then doing a chargeback.

i get both and about 70% of them come from DP

Some dummy yesterday sent me an email.
He wants to buy some sites I have for sale.
But he wants me to transfer the sites for him and he refuses to pay me what I want to do this.
Then he says, I will purchase, but it will be a friend of mine's paypal account as I do not have paypal in my country.
He gives me the name of the paypal account.
ANd the email address to use after payment, etc.

Yeah right....

thats ok i purchased a forum there yesterday the seller sent me files it was all warez so i reported it to a mod

i got a reply basically to ask ?? next time and the user got nothing for it pissed me off

Yeah, over there, they protect themselves and the scammers by constantly saying that the buyer should question the seller, check itraders, posts, etc.

Like a scammer is going to tell the truth?
And itrader is a joke there, as anyone can tell you.

does paypal have there own forum?

As far as I know, they do not have.
