    Default Hacked Moneybookers?

    So, this is extremely odd.

I have never signed up for a MoneyBookers account, since I've had no problems with paypal.

Now, guess what I got today?

Apparently my MoneyBookers account has been accessed by a third party, so it's been suspended.

Did someone use my email to create a hacked Moneybookers account? Because I've never made one. :\

Didn't know I had one until it got suspended !

I would have to agree. I have had emails of a 'major bank' before about my online account with them, problem is I have never had an account with that bank.

Have you reported him to his ISP? I reported someone on comcast who sent me ebay phishing emails. They never got back to me though so I don't know if they took any action against him but I assume they did.

More than likely a zombie computer taken over by a spammer.

Check the headers to find the IP of the sender. It is not hard to mask a url like that.

Unless that particular phisher was really stupid, the IP in the header is most certainly faked.

Never bother to try to track a spam or phishing message. It's just a waste of your time.
If you really want to do something about it, concentrate your efforts on the domain they are trying to get you to visit.
They want you to visit it, so it's the one thing in the e-mail that's likely real.
Notify their registrar and their webhost and move on to the next message.
