Paypal experts - 2 questions

I did check the site but the answers aren't always clearly put on the paypal site let alone in their TOS. First, are you allowed to have both a personal account and a business account, providing they're attached to two different bank accounts? Second, on a personal account it says that after a certain amount of transactions that it will automatically "upgrade" you to a premier account but it says that certain transactions do not count - what kind of transactions don't count in that?

It upgrades to a premier account when you add your bank account doesn't it? It did with me...

Yes, I am 99% sure you can have one for personal and one for business.

tsdesigns - No, it's not supposed to do that automatically when you add a bank account. I've had a bank account attached to my personal account for ages so I can withdraw to my checking account or fund through it. You may want to contact paypal because you may be paying fees needlessly.

You may have a personal and a business account.

Both of mine are attached to same bank account and credit card.

When paypal sees sales coming into your personal account, they upgrade you.
Got to be careful when selling anything and using your personal account.

paypal permits you to hold one personal and one premier/ business account.......... its legal according to their TOS.............

If you are doing transaction of more than 500$ or accepting more than 5 CC transactions per year then paypal consider it to be upgraded to premier one!

In India, After you receive $500 payments from PayPal balance, it will automatically upgrade to Premier, When you get a cc payment to personal account, there will be high fees.

You can have 2 paypals, One personal and Business

Yes, you can have two accounts one personal and one premier/business account. The personal account get upgraded only when you receive more than 5 cc payments per year and you accept that payment.
