    Default eCheque?

This email confirms that you have received a Pending eCheque Payment for $x.00 USD from xxxxxxx (someemailaddress). This eCheque Payment will remain "Uncleared" until the funds have cleared from the sender's account, which usually takes four working days. If you are posting an item, please do not send your item until the funds have cleared into your Paypal account. You will be notified by email when the funds have cleared into your PayPal balance.
I never had one of these before mg: Don't you have to agree to receive these?

It appears to be an order for my forum posting site (which I still haven't sold )

Means that the money is coming from their bank account to paypal and will take up to 5 days.

Once it clears, you should receive another email that it cleared and the money is in your account.

Until it clears, do not ship out product, service, etc.

No, you do not have to do any acceptance, etc.
Though you can go to paypal account and decline it.

I get these all the time.

You can refund it once cleared or may be even when in processing.

Normally when I get one of these I contact the sender. Sometimes the sender isn't aware that they sent via e-cheque instead of normal cash transfer. It happens if their credit card expires and they don't notice for instance, and is a protection for the person receiving the money.

The hell with eChecks, I don't take them, and would not recommend anyone else to take em. The 3-5 day thing is wishful thinking at best!

Although its a hold up (and yes 3-5 days is rather optimistic) the money has always got to me in the past. I just wait on the money before I send off the goods-makes no difference to me, its the customer who has the problematic wait
