Thread: Pay Pal limited me again!

Reason. 'Sale of prescription drugs'

WTF I don't sell anything remotely close to a prescription drug! PLUS after last time they pulled the same exact crap for simply having a link to a site someone from their legal department went over my sites with a fine toothed comb and told me all was fine!

I am fng pissed!

How would they get the assumption of this?

Absolutely no clue, some of their reps are a little limited when it comes to logic.

I dont blame you for being pinged off. Happening twice sounds pretty suss to me, once they can get away with, but after going thru everything they shouldnt be doing this too you.

Yes that could be considered 'steroids' but the body builders use 'supplements' or something to that nature.

Maybe some of the supplements are banned in a few countries? Thats all I can think of.

Protein could not under any circumstance be considered 'steroids'

If protein was steroids you are eating steroids at every meal.

Someone at paypal needs a good kick up the butt then, probably some skinny runt.
Only thing that you can do is tell them it cant happen again, and for them to put up a notice to say that your site is alright, because this is hurting your business.

I've had somewhat similar issues...well there a PITA lately to me atleast. Holding like everything that comes in for 30days very freaking annoying!!!

I've been through this once before with Pay Pal, last time I became one of those 1% 'sort of' I did lose my original account which blew as my 'reputation' or whatever you call it was huge, plus I ended up losing my lower fees, I however was able to get a new account under my corporation.

It's unreal how they read the AUP, a mere link in their eyes is the same as selling the product that is against their AUP!

GRIM added 309 Minutes and 6 Seconds later...

Finally 'might' have gotten somewhere.
They are claiming that having an alternative product such as 'product b is an all natural product to prescription' is against their AUP.

Their AUP states nothing of this, total BS. The product is fine according to them as long as I get rid of the description that states the prescription product.

What's even worse is 2 of the products in question I do not even sell, so of course they were not sold via Pay Pal! They were AFFILIATE links! Nothing illegal, nothing 'prescription' total absolute BS!

I know how you feel, my account was limited as well for BS reasons.

Same here-I was limited for selling 'animal body parts'. The item in question was a pair of giraffe pattern baby legs-leg warmers for infants.

Wow, that just goes to show how little they actually look into something, that really sucks man.

Yeah-I was able to show them the babylegs website and the item in question. They took the hold off my account about 48 hours later

I also had to change my business account because my ex was associated with it. Despite a divorce they said they wouldn't take a person off an account without their permission. How many divorcees are friendly enough to get that? I'm sick of them, I really wish there was a better system.

it's a shame paypal set such a monopoly so we cant really do without them. I wrote a post about paypal on my blog a while ago, thankfully my account was not limited, but they are narrow minded there. I get to hear almost every day that someone's account got limited and mostly without a reason, u just have to realize that they GAIN from holding your money (if they hold it, it means the funds are in THIER disposition in the bank) so they longer they hold it, the better for them and of course they will be happy to find reasons to limit account here and there, even if the dispute takes 1-2 weeks, they still probably gain from it something (just multiply it by thousands of accounts they limit!)
