Can I open paypal account with debit card?

Indian Debit card are mostly not accepted. Use a credit card or vcc.

If the debit card is associated with your bank account you can use it to verify your PP account. At least this is true in the US, I dont know about Mumbai

PayPal works fine with my debit card, just make sure that your card is valid for internationl payments

you can, I think it has to have the logo of visa/mastercard/whatever else they use on the back though

One is "Electron" which can only be used in ATMs and for purchasing good from stores. These Electron cards can't be used for online transactions.

You can also use a VCC (Virtual Credit Cards) to verify your paypal account.

you can but you will need add US Bank account. Then they might limit your account if you just use card only.

only american debit cards work with paypal. Even i doubt, international debit cards wil work. when i tried my visa debit card, it didnt accept. always go for a vcc

I have verified my Paypal using a debit card. It works fine with me.
My debit card has a VISA logo in it.

International Debit cards are different from the normal Debit cards. If you have International Debit Card then you can use it with PayPal.

You can create an account but you cant verify it with an Indian Debit card.
