Default Using Pay Dot Com as payment processor for Membership site

    Hi

I am developing a membership site and would like to allow affiliates market it for me in return for a recurring commission.

I was considering using Pay Dot Com as a processor but was unsure as to how this would work. My understanding is that I would have to set each membership level (i.e. Silver, Gold) as a different product in Pay Dot Com. What puzzles me is how I receive information from Pay Dot Com once a subscriber has paid in order to set up an account for my new member, and also how I receive renewal, upgrade and cancellation information.

BTW, I had also considered running the affiliate program on my own using software I would host. My reason for leaning towards Pay Dot Com is that the are an established company with many existing affiliates, they are less expensive than Clickbank (and don't have the 60-day return policy which makes no sense for a membership site) and that affiliates would be more likely to trust an existing affiliate processor than the "new kid on the block" with his own affiliate program.

Has anyone had any experience with using Pay Dot Com for a membership site? Or is there a better way?

    Thanks

    Bill
