Thread: Do you received unexpected calls from paypal?

Yesterday I do received unexpected calls from paypal asking me about my latest payment and I told them I havent checked it yet so they asked me what the reason why I am using paypal so I say for payment purposes since I am writing stuff like articles and blogposts..Anyway I wonder if its againts paypal to do outsourcing stuff and I wonder if why they call me that time? I have asked them if their is something wrong with my paypal and I say none...I am nit apprehensive because I might be getting limited account anytime soon ...

It sounds like it was just a marketing call...seeing what you use paypal for.

I've only ever had 1 phonecall from them, and it was to activate my account.

May be they will calll when they have any doubt abt our payment .

Nope and I don't think they will make such calls. You better send them an e-mail about this call because I'm sure it was a fake call.

We've been using paypal for 5 years now and I haven't received any calls from them.

i don't receive calls from paypal, i think there is no reason for you to worry, maybe its just a planned check.

They sometime call to verify some paypal transactions. Their fraud system make them call suspected fraudulent transactions.

I have been using Paypal for some years too and did not get a Paypal call till now.

So the chances that it was a fake call are considerable I guess.

I've received calls from PayPal 2-3 times, always a few minutes after I made a bank transfer, to verify that it was me who requested it.

Called me friend once as he made 3 similar transactions within 24 hours. So it looks like yes - they call to verify some transactions.

I once got a phone call from PayPal when I spent like $300 on ebay. They wanted to verify the payment which I find good, I feel secure that way.

They only call you when they are suspicious - considering limiting you, or already limited you. Watch out.

Never heard of that one. I did get a call from them 1 time. That was several years ago now. I had their premier account with a debit card. I used the card at a store I normally didn't. They called me to make sure it was really me using it. This was a legit call, because they actually knew the name of the store, address, location, etc. which I had not told them. They didn't ask for any personal or account info. They just wanted to make sure I was aware. Never heard from them again, or any other call ever from them.

Nope.. I've registered in paypal in the year 2006 and since then I never received any call from them nor I called them.

since i join with paypal, they never call me.
