Thread: Survey in behalf of paypal?

I have received this e-mail in my paypal gmail account and I wonder if this is really from paypal and if they are really conducting surveys?

We are conducting a survey on behalf of PayPal. This email has been sent to myemail@gmail.com because your PayPal email preferences are set to receive Customer Feedback Surveys. This survey will help PayPal better understand your experiences and allow them to identify areas of improvements to serve you better. Completing this survey also gives you an opportunity to win a Sony notebook (terms and conditions apply).

This survey will take about 15 - 20 minutes. Please be assured that all information collected will be kept strictly confidential, in accordance with PayPal’s Privacy Policy.

To start the survey, simply click HERE. We would request all participants to complete this survey by June 30, 2010.

I havent gotten one of those, and I am a very frequent Paypal user.

I have recieved a few of those surveys from Paypal. You don't have to complete them. I deleted the first ones i recieved for precisely the same reason i.e. i was concerned as to whether they were genuine. If you fill them out it gives you a chance to tell them where the Paypal experience could be improved.

i ask paypal about this when i got similar survey via email, and paypal said they never sent email such like that, and paypal never mention our name on their email. the sender of this email is not from paypal anyway, try to look it very careful especially the domain name of its email sender.

as example:
xxxx@paypal-int.com, xxxx@paypal-survey.com, etc - are not belong to xxxx@paypal.com (different domain name, and also different domain owner)
to check who is the owner of the domain, you can trace it at Who.is: Whois Lookup, Website, Domain Name, and IP Tools - Who.is - Whois.com - Domain Names & Identity for Everyone - and many more like this.
