I just got a used Flip Camera that an Online friend of my wife gave to me.

I decided to share my snow with those who do not have any. :stongue:

I'm not sure what I enjoyed most, seeing the lovely snow or Bouncing around to that jolly tune. Hey now you can make a video of your roosters!

I already have made a few with my regular Digital Camera but I love the Flip because it is easy to carry around and is easier to manage videos.

There are hens and roosters. Hens are female and Roosters are males. I have 22 Hens and one Rooster. One Rooster can mate with up to 18 hens there first year and about 12 after that. Keeping more than one rooster causes fights. :scool:

Your Rooster stays more busy than Britney Spears or Madonna. If a rooster can mate with 18 hens what do the other 4 hens do? Are the 4 hens lesbian? Is the rooster's name Wilt Chamberlain.

What program did you edit the video and add the cool song.

I used Windows Movie Maker and yes it was the techno Chicken Dance song. I had never done much with videos so I had never use Movie Maker. The program can do some really cool stuff and best of all it is free! :sgrin:

It had my voice but I sounded stupid so I replaced it with music.

Hey allout, you said "Flip Camera" I'm curious which model? I've been wanting one for some time now and have been looking at the Flip Ultra recently but haven't wasted the time to try and find one in store to play with. So... Which model? What was your over all opinion of it? Would you recommend the buy?

Since it was free, I love it! LOL

It is the original Flip. It is fun but is limited. If the area is not bright and well lit, it is hard to get descent videos. I took one in the barn late this afternoon and it was quite light but the video came out super dark. I hear the ultra is better for that.

If you are looking for camcorder quality, I would say buy a camcorder. If you are looking for something easy to carry in your pocket and cool for taking Youtube type videos, I would say it is worth the $130-$150 price.

The built in software makes it easy to upload videos to youtube. However, if you want to edit a video, you have to convert it to WMV from AVI to edit using Moviemaker.

It is better than a digital camera for videos but not as good as a digital camcorder.

I have no idea about the black thing. When I uploaded to Youtube it added it. It is weird because I still have the original and it does not have that.


I have one that looks like a snow chicken, I call her snow bird. Hopefully she will be on my new header.
