Thread: Brrr... Snowy...

Us Brits are famous for over reacting when there's a little bit of snow. I guess we're just not used to any significant amount of snowfall.

Anyway, we've had a very snowy New Year's Day here (by our standards) and I cracked open my camera for a few snap shots.

Not quite Tim standard but I try!

Wow, nice pictures! It's definitely a lot, especially when you're not used to it. It's snowing a lot here right now as well.

Which one do you think is the best photo?
I'm pretty amateurish but I have my favourite... it'd be interesting to see if we agree.

Nice pix. I like the swans, the sheeps and the castle with the river in front...

Looks like someone did a lot of walking. The pictures were good CB. If I had to pick one it would be A family of snow people. Swans come in Sec. Reason I see snow all the time Showmen showed someone having fun.

It's so hard to pick just one, but I'd have to say the first one, I like how it goes so far into the distance and you see everything getting smaller and disappearing, love the Swans too, but Swans have a way of making any picture look beautiful even though they're so violent.

Looks nicer than where I am...

It snowed here about 10 days ago and now it's just turned into rather thick sheets of ice. Especially down my road...because it doesn't get much traffic it wasn't salted, and most of us havn't been able to get our cars up the road either, so some left the cars up at the top of the road and we have to walk to get to them which is how I found out it's rather thick sheets of ice walking down it today and falling all over the place.

I'd be fine with snow like in your pics, but it's just annoying when it's a few days old and just turned into ice like around here :/

lovely photos...hey, can I just ask quickly what camera you used?
I have a small Panasonic Lumix, but it does not produce good quality photographs.

I have 3 favorites. The first one is the Frankle street picture because I like the buildings. Next is the Lion and Castle. Third is the one facing west towards Denwick Bridge.

I like the snowmen on the buss stop, awesome pics!
we've been getting some snow lately, can't wait for sunny weather again.

Not that I'm aware. It's the second largest occupied castle in Britain, coming behind Windsor where the Queen hangs out.

As an amateur photographer my tools are primitive. My camera is a Fuji FinePix J50, which has 8.5 MP resolution.

I wish it would snow in our country too bad we are in tropical countries. Its weird to note that people wishing for snow in tropical areas while in snowy country they wish for different weather

damn snow is every where too cold there though when i saw those pics i feel like im feeling cold and swan pic was realy beautifull
