Thread: Spring in Texas

- I sorta almost kinda forgot about these.
- I took them in April.
- Just a very small glimpse into the best time of year in TX, when the wildflowers are in bloom.
- The ones of the crosses were at a 'church camp' on a nearby lake.
- I love to shoot at night, don't do nearly enough of it.

Cross picture is amazing! The fields I can just see my daughters running threw those flowers, it would be too fun!

I was actually walking frantic through them but not for the sheer joy of being there...I dropped my 2GB CF card mg:

I amazingly found it within 12-15 minutes after I realized I lost it! a good 78-117 yards away too.

Wildflowers!

Those are BlueBells.
Best place in Texas, or at least around Houston area, to view nothing but, where the fields are pure blue with bluebells, is in and around Brenham.
Also home to Blue Bell Ice Cream, the absolute best damn ice cream in the entire world!
And yippee kay yay mofos....Iowa does get Blue Bell Ice Cream now!
Albeit a bit more expensive than in Texas, but hey, the price is worth it!
HyVee, the big grocery chain (also in Missouri and believe in Kansas) carries Blue Bell Ice Cream.

I actually used to shoot B&W film, not a lot of it though

With digital you can make 'any' pic B&W...the tricky part is getting your blacks black enough and your whites white enough.

I really haven't spent a lot of time honing this technique but I want to do more of it.

I actualy did a fair amount with my Colorado/RMNP set b/c the mountains lent themselves so nicely to the B&W
