They're not as good as Tim's though

Nice. I like sunset shots. The colours are truly amazing.

I love taking sunset photos, I have tons from when I was in Hawaii, but I've yet to find the disk. LOL

you can say whatever you'd like Tim. Besides the pink sunset these pictures were taken when I was about 16 years old. That one was taken when I first got back into Oregon.

I love the flower pic the best. I think it is just a great close up and the detail is amazing! There all great though ;-)

Those flowers grow by the pool at my parents house.

Well, will have to post some pictures of our grandkids.

What else do grandparents do with a camera but take pictures of grandkids.

Did see this morning, a nice looking doe and her fawn crossing the road.
No pictures, they were gone before wife could dig it out.

this is what I see when I look at them....just to get you thinking

it may not have been possible, but in the first one I think if you could have isolated the tree on the right and try to leave the one on the left out of the frame.

the sky is obviously the 'draw', I feel like the pine is just too overbearing

but I know often you have 1 shot and that's it, especially if you are on the move figuratively or literally.

aside from that though, I'll say that all 4 are good technically...in focus, good exposure and that's something to be proud of right there!

Since I was up against a wall I couldn't get farther back on the first one. And these were also just taken for fun. I wasn't really trying to get a specific look when I took them.

Nice.. I used to take alot of pics in years past and even developed my own when I worked at the studio... should get back into it again.

My favorite photo activity was hand-coloring B&W pics from vintage negs.

That sounds like fun. I've always wanted to try that.

It's easy.. especially if you use the photo oil pencils as you can do more detailed work. Of course, nowadays you can acheive the same effects digitally using apps like Recolored and others but they lack the "charm" IMO..

They're not meant to be perfection it's nature. Nature isn't perfect.

PS - that's a trap that some photographers fall into...trying to make a good photo out of the junk...which does not apply here but I thought I'd throw that out

I agree if perfection seems fake it really isn't perfection.

Advanced photoshop user , can make you believe almost anything , and before you see the actual picture you truly believe it's true.

But if you don't like something being perfect or almost perfect.
It's understandable.

I love photoshop, I just don't think that everything needs to be photoshopped. Some things are good natural.
