I had 3 periodontal gums grafts done on Friday.

they take and cut the roof of your mouth and use it to graft above the teeth where the gums have receded too far! :scool:

the worst pain of the wentire ordeal was when they stuck me ith the locals the day of the surgery. it like like he could have pured 2 dozens fiore ants into my mouth! about 6 times worse than getting my 2 fillings and crown a few months ago.

aside from that the surgery went quick and I didn't notice a thing. kept my eyes closed the whole time while I jammed out to my mp3's...SURE glad I brought that!

now it's just a chore eating soft foods and trying not to get said food stuck! the upside is that I've been eating a ton of ice cream

still sore where the graft areas are as well as the roof of my mouth...not going to like it when I run out of my meds!

my cheeks are swollen, I look like Grim's face on a normal day I guess :stongue:

Don't worry Timmy, inside the mouth heals fast, too fast. When I split my tongue at the start of the year, I couldn't stop it healing back together.
