You do not need to protect the code at all as it will not show up on the browser source file, the only thing people see is the HTML code so nothing to worry about.
I want to learn PHP can anybody help how to learn online.
W3Schools has a tutorial on PHP. You can find it by clicking here.
I don't know of any other websites, but I'm sure a Google search can uncover some. I'm teaching myself PHP from a book.

Before you learn anything from them, see W3Fools There's no reason to learn incorrect and/or outdated information.

PHP does not show up in browser source file view. HTML will and even then they won't have access to PHP. PHP is very separate due to the include features.
