Thread: About PHP future!

What are your opinions about PHP language future? Does this language have any perspectives or it will be replaced by a new technology later? What do you think about this?

I think PHP will be around for some time. Its a very popular and robust language. It is preferred by many coders and will continue to be I would imagine.

I absolutely agree. PHP is good for its purposes and no languages haven't really tried or seen to be replacing PHP now or in the future. You could consider Ruby as going strong nowadays, but it won't replace PHP. It has a different way of life to PHP, and its a little more complicated than PHP (for me anyway, and I'm sure for others).

There are plenty more people coming towards PHP, so even if the most experienced PHP programmers, they may turn to new technologies - PHP is still going stronger than ever before.

PHP is widely used in web programming and developing applications. It is the leading language fpr the web development and the main strength PHP is fast, open source compatibility and very powerful scripting resource.

I'll thankful to Rasmus landorff because they discovered that language,
it's great in web development area, now in future that's language Create desktop application through enhancing version of it means GTK.

The fact that PHP is an open source programming language makes a great case against its competitors. It has a cheap, fast, reliable and widely supported environment to run in, therefore it is mainly used in standard web deployment, not only large enterprises. s i think ts future is not bad))):cheer2:

its been almost two years since the original question, and php is still here and going strong, that should answer your question! LOL

PHP isn't going anywhere anytime soon I believe. It is still used on today's web sites even this very forum you are reading/posting/etc on! My nephew is a Computer Science major and he learned PHP from a class during his first year. It is still a very relevant language and a language I always recommend people to learn if they want to get more advanced in web design. I personally suggest reading books or learning from tutorials like I did.

Every language has great future & it's completely depend on you means In which direction you go with that, i think that, PHP is Good but it's does not replace any old technology like Java or .net and many more....

It won't die off, that's for sure. Too popular. No other web programming language comes close. Facebook, Wikipedia etc are all programmed in PHP. Hell, most forums are based on PHP.

PHP is a gud web developing language also easy to use. Will retain in future.

It is so far one of the best Programming Language! of Web Development no one can't predict because the newer technology can replace the existence of PHP in no time!
