    Default How to auto update...

    What I mean is.. for those who use Facebook, have you ever noticed.. when you get a new message in your inbox.. it automatically updates the 'Inbox' link and puts Inbox (1) without refreshing..

    Does anyone know how this is done.. I'm interested in it.. maybe its Java or something.. maybe something else? No idea.. any feedback appreciated!

    I believe they're using AJAX to dynamically update the hidden span tag so it's no longer hidden and displays the count.
