Depends how much PHP your looking to learn.

Your not going to learn it all in 16 hours. To be fair though, I don't think many (if any) people have even learned it all.

The basics maybe, it depends how easily you can absorb information.

I have a thick book at home though your a programmer with previous experience I still erk to learn it and pick it up. Maybe its just me though I'm not really drawn into programming that much as fast as others are so talented to do so.

It should be possible to get an understanding of the basics but it will take time depending on what you plan on creating. If you know C then you should definitely have a good feel for PHP in a short time span.

If anything, I think previous coding experience will help anyone learn PHP.
Find guides or tutorials and find out what code does what.
I learned PHP by doing tutorials and asking a lot of questions on my host's forum. They have a beginners section and I did all of the tutorials there.

If I had any questions, I would ask in the Programming section and get answers pretty quick.

I wouldn't say it's possible. Learning for 16 hours straight is highly unlikely IMHO.

There's no who can tell you how much time it would take you to learn a language. It all depends on your readiness to spend the time and effort required.

One thing is certain: to learn to program, you most program all the time.

    Good luck

I've read about PHP from w3schools but I have to say that after 3 hours of reading, it's kinda hard to remember it all

I don't know about 16 hours but I think if you only wanted to learn some of the php basic, then I have to say yes, it is possible even though I'm not sure :P

It should be possible to become an realizing of the basics but it will take time depending on what you plan on making. If you recognize C then you should decidedly have a good feel for PHP in a short time span.
