I did ASP.NET but i heard that now there is a bright future of PHP so kindly guide me in this matter.
it depends what your needs are, PHP's "bright future" is here, and have been for many years
if you are comfortable with ASP.net, stick with it though, the work of converting to PHP is massive(even if you write in C#), but if you want to jump down on your hosting costs(linux instead of windows) the convertion could be worth it.
but it also comes down to things like, do you interact with services or do you do parallel processing with ASP.net, in that case, converting will be hard (since PHP do not support parallel processing, ex. it dosen't have locking and threadsafe)
As Thor Erik said, if you are comfortable with ASP.NET then stick with it. But if you think you can learn Php then I suggest you go for it. It has a bright future and its much cheaper compared to ASP.NET.
i thinks that all technology has it's own importance, and according to me it's based only for yours Interest.
and if you do php along with any CMS like Joomla then that's combination is fantastic.

I think PHP is already an industry must have for programming and coding. PHP should be the main stepping stone for any new coding you will learn in the coming years. You should definitely learn it first then move onto other new code types afterwards. I always recommend buying some books or even going to forums to learn PHP.
Take a class if you have troubles or need even more assistance.

I think that it's completely depends on your Interest. But if you want to switch then you have to do php With any CMS like Joomla, drupal etc..
Hi)
i think that bright future of php can help you not a lot, so if you want to learn php do it, if you decide to learn it because of bright future, i don't think its a good idea)
:cheer2:
php is easy to learn and open source.
Personally I'd go with php. ASP IMO is limited. Most software packages are in php these days.
It depends on what your needs are, "bright future" of PHP is here, and have been for many years if you are comfortable with ASP.net, stick with it, however, the work of making PHP is huge (even if you write in C #), but if you want to lower their housing costs (Linux instead of windows), the conversion may be worth it. but also reduced to things like, do you interact with the services ...

I prefer ASP.NET is better, it has a framework and PHP is simple and good to learn, but stick to one programing and go ahead with that what u like more!
I imagine PHP is already an industry must have for programming and coding. PHP should be the primary stepping stone for any new coding you will discover in the coming years.me!
PHP is in, these days. And its very beneficial. But, the future is wide open. Other languages like joomla and drupal are slowly creeping in. So, you can't rely only on php. So, better to stick to what you know best.
Over the years I've coded in C, C++, VB, VB .NET, Java, PHP, ASP, a little assembly, etc.
I like PHP as I think it is good for putting together website related stuff, as it is supported on multiple OS platforms and is simple to use.
Nowadays for stand-alone and client-server applications I mainly use Java, simply due to its portability and it is very similar to C++ (although it can be memory intensive on occasions).
Eclipse is an excellent editor for PHP and Java too![]()
i would suggest you that you stick with ASP.NET, it to has a wide scope in the market.
I just have learn 1 thing in last 2 years that just chose the line which you really feel comfortable and then just stick with it and you will definitely get succeed and .Net has a vast scope so don't get confused. Just get skills in it.
H, PHP is simple and ASP.Net and PHP both are web technologies so concept is same but implementation is different. So don't worry you can learn PHP easily.
I am now trying to learn PHP guess this is the foundation now. I find moderately easy coming form ms Access programming. I wish to have more time to study this language.
every language have its own importance, but php is taking major shares in websites, the best example to explain this are content management systems, most of the CMS are built using PHP
It's still pretty much .Net on Windows boxes, PHP on *nix boxes. If you're in a Microsoft house, stick with .Net. If you want to be able to write for non-Windows servers, learn PHP. If you really want to be at the top, learn Cold Fusion.
For my point view you will prefer .net because in future you can use this language for develop software. as well as all technology have own importance.
.net is supporting 46 language.

Why is everyone saying PHP is so new and upcoming? It is already an established language that has been HEAVILY used for YEARS. No doubt I would rather have PHP over .NET because Linux hosting costs a lot less.
PHP is better and easy if we compare to .Net
