Thread: CakePHP development

Does any one know the advantage of using cakePHP for php web development

You can probably look around but from my experience, CakePHP excels in:

Easy configuration
The simplicity of the interface
Simple licensing
Good security
End result oriented

If you need more help with CakePHP, I know a lot of PHP experts on my host's forum who are constantly developing with other "scripts" along with CakePHP. You can probably get even more solid answers out of them.

• Its own file structure
• Plug-in support
• Data abstraction (PEAR:B, ADOdb, и собственная разработка Cake)
• DBMS support (Postgres, MySQL, SQLite, Oracle)
• Complete compatibility with PHP4 and PHP5.

Hi,
It is easy in coding but it takes long time for implementing a simple functionality so why cant you try with CMS

How does it compare to CodeIgnitor? My impression of it is that it's been around longer but is it easier/better or not?
