I want to see peoples feedback, list all the steps and tools needed to start a webhosting business,

To many to list my best advice is start with a business plan it can help you step by step.

You will have to build contact through internet with different people in same business or in need. Advertise your expertise in Linkedin, twitter and facebook. Do SEO for your website and it would be enough.

Most of the newbies start it with Reseller Hosting, so you need not to invest loads of money to raise the ifrastructure required for web hosting business and your get enough time to learn all the aspects of it.

Well, its pretty costly if you plan to build your own web hosting company as it requires to build a huge infrastructure which will cost your pretty high. Nowadays, people start their own web hosting companies by becoming a hosting reseller. You don't have to build any infrastructure, just has to spend a little amount of money to buy just a reliable web hosting plan. Since you don't specify the level of your expertise than I am guessing, as others have, that you are not an expert but not a novice. Reselling is definitely the best step to begin the journey. That level of hosting will give you some insight into the nature of the business and some of the issues you and your clients might encounter. The next important step is discovering if you can build a client base with social media or other standard advertising venues. If you enjoy and can manage reselling and you can build a customer base then it might be time to consider some equipment and that is an entirely different level of knowledge that you will need to gain in order have a successful hosting company.

You need to know what you are doing, and promote the heck out of it because it will be very tough to compete with the big companies out there that dominate the market. Exactly. A corporation does not start off (at least these days) without major backing financially. You can't expect to grow without the finances being secure. A couple hundred dollars will only get you through a month these days.

Also, you need to have a minimum knowledge about web hosting and its aspects, as you may need to explain the factors to your customers which are beginners in the web hosting.

Definitely agree. You need to know what features and specifications the average client will want. The packages you offer will be important because they will appeal to a larger group of potential clients.
