I don't think that is a problem, I have seen numerous sites that are clones of youtube, hi5, myspace, etc. and none of those did something to close those sites. Of course if you make a site using a clone you should brand it and make it a little bit different, the only problem is that no one is going to guarantee that you are going to succeed with a clone site.

Would it not just be easier to post a demo for all to see? And Autumn I don't think it is a problem as long as they stayed away from all copyrighted images and text. I may be wrong though, but that is what I gathered from a thread involving vB skin clones on the myBB forum. How true that is I don't know though
