Okay, need some help here.
I want my search engine to search only my site.
See the search engine here:
Authors Library
It searches google now, but I want it to search my site.
How do I do this??
Thank you.

Are you interested in an On-Site Search Service only for your site?
I couldn't get at your site, but you can search in the format
"guitar strings site:Mars Guitars" <EDIT: put the url here! it's been changed to a link by the forum!
which will search for "guitar strings" only within site Mars Guitars
Is this the sort of thing you meant?

I think I have it figured out.
It is supposed to search my site, and it does.
But for some reason, most searches come up empty.
WOnder if it takes time for the search and the site to meet each other?

What script are you using to run the search?

HTML Code:<div align="center"> <table border="0" width="200" id="table16"> <tr> <td><FORM action=http://www.google.com/search method=get></P> <DIV style="border:1px solid black; padding:4px; WIDTH: 343px; height:63px"> <div align="center"> <TABLE cellPadding=0 border=0> <TBODY> <TR> <TD><INPUT maxLength=255 size=25 name=q> <INPUT type=submit value="Google Search"></TD></TR> <TR> <TD style="FONT-SIZE: 75%" align=middle><INPUT type=checkbox CHECKED value=dawgebooks.com name=sitesearch> <font face="Verdana" size="2">Authors Library</font><BR></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> </div> </DIV></FORM></td> </tr> </table> </div>

When you get that search form from Google I believe you can choose which you want it to search and then they provide the proper form code, that's if that's how you got the form..

Hmmmm....think I may eliminate the search engine.
Or find something better than google (like I want to support their habit?).
You can take a look at JiansNet, it is an alternative to Google.

Since all I tried, google and 2 others, just either did not search the site enough, I just removed it completely from the site.

mnoGoSearch is something I offer as a quick install script for my hosting clients...it's lightweight, works very well i think, and is free...

I could setup a demo for you, if you are interested in it. Also, I could give a discount of 10% for you, should you go with our search solution.
Well, Here we go ... I have checked many a sites to find on 'WITHOUT' the stupid - powered by blah blah.
I just want a simple f@#@ng search bar and some say .. Buy it for $49 and some say Gold Edition, platinum edition, etc etc .. This is just so stupid when I know we can get this done with a little research .. anyway..
You need to find scripts which can first index the content of your site and then display it in proper form as Search Results.
Seriously, is there anyone on these forums who can find a 'site search' script please?? I am sure people are using such scripts, its only if they did like to share with others ...
Thanks,
Ady.
mmmm .. I found one .. yeah free one but with limitations ..yaeeeeks!
Try to find Zoom Search Engine script but it will index only 50 pages. For more, you gotta buy it for $49. Damn, I am not even making that much a month.
netproint added 5 Minutes and 47 Seconds later...
10% discount of what ? $1000? or $50?
Atleast mention whats the price. And will you also put that ugly 'Powered by PoopMan' ?
Pardon me. I'm drunk!

The site search engine watch is the authoritative guide to search engine marketing and search engine optimization thanks for sharing the info.
Yes it is possible, first create your site and do not create any backlink then search you site.
