Thread: Anyone else experiencing this?

Over the last couple months, one of my sites has been experiencing something strange.

For years, (when I look at the site stats) google has been at the top of the list of engines, but this month "Live" has leap frogged right over google and taken the first spot, my google numbers are not down, but somehow Live is all of a sudden sending me way more people than google.

I did noticed that I somehow landed on the second page of live for the keyword "statistics" but the numbers still do not add up.

Anyone else experiencing sudden traffic from live????

If you're on the second page, then that probably explains it.
Webmasters seem to think that everyone uses Google. That's not the case.

Do you know how many people use Windows and never install a second browser and never change their homepage out of sheer laziness, which, of course, point to Microsoft's search engine by default?

I get recommended by my local ISP for my computer services and I know exactly what's going on....

1. Customer calls ISP (A multi-billion dollar corp).
2. Customer tries to resolve some issue and tech on the phone can't help them because the problem is not ISP related.
3. Tech goes to MS search engine and punches in my keywords and BAM, my website pops up.
4. They tell their customer that they can't help, but know someone who probably can and promptly give them my telephone number.
(I love that part)
5. Customer hangs up and calls me, telling me that their ISP recommended me.
(Meanwhile, it's just a lazy tech using the default browser to search the default search engine to get the customer off his/her back)

^loves lazy techs lol

MSN doesn't have a large market share but it may have to do with the demographics or MSN users.

I do know that the fact that I am listed in the second page for the word "statistics" is making a BIG difference, but some how the numbers do not quite add up.

I have some sites that most off my traffic is coming from MSN and sales to..
