YouTube Now World's No. 2 Search Engine surpassing Yahoo
According to ComScore's August 2008 search engine rankings, YouTube is now the number two search engine in the world, surpassing Yahoo.
YouTube fetched over 2.6 billion search queries that month, trumping Yahoo's 2.4 billion—though Google itself still reigns supreme with 7.6 billion queries (together, Google and YouTube field 10.2 billion).
It’s also worth noting that Google owns YouTube, thank makes Google #1 and #2
A simple look at most people’s log files will show that Google is larger than Yahoo, MSN, ASK and every other engine combined.. they are where Microsoft was with the desktop 10 years ago…
We suspect that there will be anti-trust suits eventually regarding it.
Youtube has overtaken Yahoo and is now the number 2 search engine in the world. Attached is three months report (courtesy comscore) that clearly shows how you tube enjoys more than 2.5 B queries.

How can we benefit:
Number of Backlinks: All the links are no follow but still appear on yahoo site explorer.
Traffic: Drive traffic to our websites. You tube serves more than 100 million videos per day.
Thought: Links can be added in description and same videos published on our blogs. Videos ought to be very informative to have organic trafiic and hits.
PPC: Google has introduced sponsored ads model (much like google search) into Youtube ads.youtube.com.Youtube now lets advertisers promote their commercial clips alongside the search results of youtube videos. In short a google monetization model for youtube.
