Thread: what's your favorite search engine? (not google)

Hi,
whats your favorite search engine? I use google for ever. Now as I write I am realizing I don't use nothing else lol

Way back in the Stone Ages of the Internet, I use to love Alta Vista. However, now I mostly use Google, I also use Swag Bucks (powered by Google) because my wife earns prizes from there.

I admit it, I have used Yahoo's search engine before because I didn't find what I was looking for. It's rare but it happens...Other than that, I am a Google Whore.

Back in the day I used DogPile, but just like everyone else these days it's Google. Though I do know a few people that whole hearty uses yahoo full time, if that counts for anything...

Yahoo and MSN is also good.

Heh, so did I I found it the most accurate way back then.

Yahoo 9/10 if I cant find what I need, I go Google.

and it depends on what I'm looking for, if I use
Google first or second.

I used to use, (cant think of the name of it), it
had like 48 or so different search engines it
used to show you results, + used to use ask.com

Msn and yahoo, and a the Norwegian Kvasir, but 99% its google

I am also Google fan but getting accurate result i prefer all the search engine. So i get the for which search engine i have to work for my online business. May be other are uses other search engines, I don't want take chance.

I'd have to say Yahoo, but I think I only use it for nostalgia purposes only.

for me, favorite means relevant ( I was not talking about the design ).

I've tested all main ( important ) search engines for a keyword.
Position 1 on Google, Cuil, Ask, Live
Position 24 on Yahoo.

Later Edit: Also position 1 on Yandex.

I only use Google too, but i like Yahoo!, I really don't know why :stongue:

I choose to use Yahoo if Google won't be down or something. (I know it might not be possible)

Other than that, I will use MSN as my third option.

All I use is google, sometimes i use cuil, but not much.

Before Google I used Mamma and Altavista.

Yahoo! occasionally and MSN rarely.

I came across tafiti.com the other day. Seems a bit style over substance.

I think Yahoo is good. i m use yahoo

If google is not included on the list, I would choose Yahoo as my next favorite search engine. Yahoo is also good to use for searching information.

Google is my primary search engine choice.. and I haven't used any search engine for years except Google.

If Google is out of the equation I'd use :

1. AltaVista (on a crappy internet connection)
2. Yahoo (for not-so-crappy internet connection)

i just like to use google and other just once or twice in the week ... So none

Google is best for me.

I am starting to like Bing especially when it comes to image search.

It might not be your typical search engine to web sites.

But Yes search a topic and you get a video to watch instead of a page to read

All it there from news to how to's.

Well besides Google it would have to be Yahoo, I think there is a reason that they are the two biggest search engines...

Before I'm hooked to Yahoo and MSN until I found Google..

I am a google freak person...though the term search engine has almost become synonymous with google but I still believe that there is some room left for other players.... like Bing and yahoo. Bing has put up a good show.:happy-f:

Apart form google my favorite search engine is Yahoo, Bing and Ask.
