Thread: How frequently site content should be updated?

Hi Friends,

As I heard apart from link buildings and keywords, Google need content of site should be updated regularly.

What is strategy for updated content?
Do we need to add extra pages?
Extra pages can increase rank for existing pages?

Do we need to add more content in existing pages after regular interval?
How frequently existing pages should be updated?

Please provide all advise related to updating content for site on regular interval.

Updating content frequently cause to cache frequently.. this effecting in all places of SEO.. Update as much u can is better .. daily is better.. but should keep the targeted keywords

basically this part is very hard to do. cause if you have a static site like a site for a company then there is nothing to update daily cause every information is fixed. in this case its better make backlinks which may help for increase your site rank. thanks

You could use guestbooks or massage boards to automate this task! Of course you need enough traffic and interest by your visitors!

Yeah updatin daily is better. But if you're too busy.. At least twice a week.

actually it depends on the site, like what tack said, if it is a company site you should focus more on link building than updating it regularly. but if it is an information site or like a blog it should be updated regularly, twice or thrice a week is good.

Depends what kind of a site you have, but as much as possible. Active site is better to achieve your goals.

You can even use a script for a 'daily quote' or something similar to auto update daily, weekly, etc

Updating depends upon the site you have. Few sites need daily updates and others need updates only once in a month.

I update my sites every day with 1 or 2 articles. That and link building helps me with my success.

I usually update my site twice or trice a week. And also it depends on my schedule. Updating your site is also a big help upon indexing in SE's. Be sure you also updating your site with an effective ways. Like unique and effective arcticle to the reader.

Updated the content twice a week is just enough or if the site needs to be updated daily then that's the other story. Link building plays an important role as well...

I've heard of updating the keywords to get good page rank, I don't really have much an idea about this but as they said it could really help.

I updates my site content two or three times in a week. We have to update our site with new content always. It keeps our site to have a fresh look.

if i say so m daily content should be updated , keeps crawlers busy on your site

How about if photos/images is copied is it considered copied contents too? What if those articles were use as reference or you copied and then put the links of blog in your site is it considered copied content too?

Please don't just steal another persons comment.

Feeding your page with fresh articles on a regular and timely basis will atrract more readers into your site. It isnt just the backlinks or the directories that will help you out to optimize your rankings but above all, its how you work out in giving fresh updates and how you offer a reliable, credible and informative articles that will matter at the end. What im saying is that, the content of the site matters. Visitors look for a site that can offer them the search or quiries they are looking for so its best to have an illustrative and an exemplifying content.

Frequent updated would be beneficial if you actually adding up more pages on your site.

You need to update as often as you have something concrete to add.. hopefully it will be everyday or even several times a day but never unless you can add something of worth.

It depends on the site; if you have a blog then updating regularly will be beneficial. You can always create a blog for your site.
