Thread: Is Search Engines which You Use Important fro Target Audience?

Hi to everyone! I have the following question: is it necessary to register in several search engines in order to reach various segments of your target audience? Can this be really profitable? What can you recommend me?

I didn't see any reason registering your site to a search engine because search engine will definitely find you but if you really want you can submit your site to search engine directories to be re-spidered.

i thing that registering in several SE is not necessary but its not bad, it can help you,
so if you decide to do it...do it.

Google is really the only important search engine nowadays. I rarely get hits from other search engines.

Targeting audience is a part of SEO. Doing social networking we can target good audience.

No need to registration in many search engine. Definitely Search engines will find you if your site has quality content.

I get about 30% clicks from other SEs.

Registering in search engines for target audience is simply trash. Can you tell me under what aspect you were asked to register for? I am asking because, other than for paid search there is no necessary to any webmaster to register. And of course some popular directories like Yahoo has paid inclusion. But note the inclusion is not into the search engines only to their director list.

FYI: Once submitted, search engines or directories don't accept you to submit again.

So you recommend to submit to Google? Please read what Google says: "We do not add all submitted URLs to our index, and we cannot make any predictions or guarantees about when or if they will appear."

Have you noticed the word 'our index'. Which means adding your url to Google can only help to add to their indices not for ranking just as you used the word 'hits' .

You are right in some part but you should have detailed more how it can help to target.

Honest reply. But technically a bit wrong . Here is why: Search engines like Google can crawl and index even hidden links, flash content, some script based contents as well. So to find a website they don't need anything except it is a 'website' or a page online.

registering to search engine is just a waste of time. It isn't necessary unless your are going for paid searches.

yes my search engine is important to target quality audience because i use Google as my search engine. Google is very powerful.

No need too register in several search engines to target audiences. Doing SBM and article submission are very useful for tragetting audiences.

Registering to search engines is not necessary to bring in your target audience. Proper SEO will improve the ranking and in turn will draw the attention of your target audience.
