Getting backlinks from sites and pages that have higher pagerank, do not have a ton of other links on the page, that are dofollow, and related or similar to what your site happens to be about. A couple of links to your site from a page that has pr4 or pr5 rank with only 10-20 other links can give you a much bigger boost than getting hundreds or more backlinks from pages that have pr0 or pr1. At any rate just keep building.

Quality here means High PR sites, do follow sites. am i right.

You should go for one way links.Do social bookmarking,article marketing,SMO,Press release submission,theme based links and well as profile links.

I suggest three way link exchange is the best way of link building. Though quality links are available only through paid links.

increase the amount of dofollow backlinks as more as you can, do it by directory submission, forum posting and other tools, many people have wrote this already.

Don't ignore no-follow sources as well, because they'll bring the traffic to your website.

try squidoo and hub page. it will surely get your contents on top of google maybe not the number one spot top 10 maybe

This is probably the best way. Type a keyword into Google, look at the 5 top sites, check their header tags, titles, content, keywords and backlinks. once you get a good feel for your competition, match it similarly.

There is a link building software (that is free) that can be downloaded and if you type your competitors URL into it, it will list around 1000 of there backlinks.

The best thing to do is check out your competition, make a report on their website, and then try to do the same to your website, but do it better

Quality link building needs a greater effort than getting an ordinary links. You have to double your work to get a good quality links.
