Thread: Website Crawling Rate Query!...........

Dear All,

When i write "site:domain name" in Google search box the site shows 4,900 results in today. But, yesterday it was shows 6,100 results and before one week it was shows 9,230 results. Actually, i don't know What is the cause of the huge fluctuation & suggest me what will i do for this......

Don't worry about it at all They change their algorithms all the time and never let you know what they are thinking.

Don't know what is happening upper side and what is the reason behind that but Google is making a lot changes in its algorithms and there are a lot of fluctuations in the ranking as well.

it keeps goin up and down.. it is the same for everyone.. i have also experienced this... the search results keep fluctuating to higher or either low

NO one knows what exactly going in the google's mind so keep doing effort ..

Google is going unfavorable to SEO now a days. It is changing frequently.

Dude, the search operator you had used is used only to specify search results for a given website. This functionality is used mostly to find number of internal links/pages for a given domain. It is not the search function to find out number of backlinks to a website as in the case you are worrying for decreasing in the number of results you had found in Google.

On a whole nobody seems to read and understand the post properly!

Maybe it is cause by broken links. Have you check if all of your links are working? maybe alot of your inlinks have been broken.

Lol! Dude, there is no point to check out for broken links! Please check my above replies to get the actual answer. And please ask me if you got any questions on that.

I don't think the problem is broken links. I think the problem is Google. It changes the algorithm some times. And sometimes Google shows results different and its natural for every search engine as they have very huge database. I have seen such problem many times. Don't worry about it.

This fundamental is used mostly to find number of internal given domain It is not the lookup function to find out number of back off to a website as in the case yourself are worrying for decreasing in the number of results you had found in Google.
