Thread: What should be done more to be at the top?

I have been striving hard for couple of months to get my website Websys on the top of Google. To do that I have done all the necessary SEO task. But still my site shuffle between 4th and 5th page. Is there anything that I am missing out?

- Optimize your website for long-tail keywords (eg cheap template designs India, Ajaz programming services India)
- Include an HTML sitemap for easy navigation
- Submit an XML sitemap to search engines
- Link all your pages together appropriately (Internal linking)
- Place anchor text
- Guest post on popular niche-related blogs
- Inter-connect your Facebook and Twitter profiles
- Promote your website on social bookmarking websites as well
- The YouTube widget on your website is not operative. Fix it.

Can you submit your sitemap on google webmaster?

It is hard to get a top position in SERP while competition is very high. Just 2 or 3 months are not enough to get on the top of the Search Results. See that your sites on page is proper and strong and perform Off page activities regularly to build links and get better result in SE. It will take some time to be on top of the SERP but if you are doing SEO of your site properly then you will get the result.

search engine prefer unique and user friendly sites and increase you SERP results.
Indexing and SERP results depend on your valuable and user likely contents.

You can try for both On page and Off page SEO methods.Try to improve the quality of the contents of your site by adding the Title, Meta tag, key words, header, site map to the site.You can also follow the off page SEO methods like blog posting, forum posting, article posting, social book marking, classified submission, directory submission and press release submission.These methods are very much effective for getting more back links, more visitors to your site.This can result in the better indexing of your site.

Dear there are lot of competition right now on internet so everybody want to get top. so be patience and work hard.

Focus on content and collect backlinks.Do forum,social bookmarking and blog commenting in do follow sites that will really helpful.

The amount of required works depends on keyword competition.So don't be disappointed.Keep working on link building.

I think you must be more focused on quality backlinks to your site., Link baiting is also a good move to attract juicy links.

if you really wanna shoot your website to the major search engine go for high pr backlinks on actual pagerank pages and use other successful techniques of seo like social bookmarking,dmoz listing,forum posting etc.i know its a long process but the results which you will get after your quality seo work will be permanent.

Same thing happens with me. I also had done almost all the efforts but my website is also not coming to the top, then i changed my site content and i optimize tags, alt tags, meta tags. And i really get its effect. Hope you too get..

Write articles,submit them to article directories and bookmark the article link.You can spin the article to use in the link wheel.Start using FB and twitter as Google is indexing their updates.Google prefers content and this definitely lift your site.

Make sure that you're spending much time and effort in getting quality links. If competition on your niche is tough, double the effort. Prioritize links that are relevant to your site.

Then probably your content and keywords are very competitive, in that case you have top do lots more work and it needs time too.

Scary thought when an SEO company is asking how to get their site ranking.

Basically you need to fully optimize your on-page seo, h1's through to h4's. At the moment you have only h1's and h2's on your index page.

Your page title is too long, keep it under 70 characters including spaces and punctuation.

Once you've done that you will need to spend some serious money as your up against the big boys in this market. You need some very good tools and reporting software so you can have half a chance to get to the first page let alone ontop.

Allow at least 12 months.

Sorry to be tough but that's the market you're getting into.
