What is this black hat site playing at?

www.aroundtheclockva.com

I found it in Google webmaster tools, because its giving a site heaps of backlinks to hundreds of different pages.

I click a referral and it takes me to www.aroundtheclockva.com/bill.pl?m=2&r=w5dchUOoalVzyvuHifS4cBbkfhEoZfh5aSkz o96cw3u9QblZYZdghtAGwdzcqmddmng_napxv6I (I changed a couple of letters so to not publish client site).

The link takes me to the aroundtheclockva.com except it seems to have the exact same source code as the clients site, except for this at the start:

Title tags are the same etc.

Also have a look at what comes up in Google

I realized that if you scroll down on the spam site, after a whole lot of blank space there's the client page.

So I assume their just scraping content to serve generic parked domain ads.

I still can't understand why the spam site's going after a whole lot of pharmacy keywords - as found in a site:aroundtheclockva.com search in Google?

Interestingly the site seems to be banned in Yahoo and MSN.

Most of the black hat site is just hiding keywords on there site and they also doing a lot of link spamming.

Hi, Without the actual links its hard to explain what they are doing.... If they are "good" black hatters they would be creating whole websites based on one keyword, highly optimized (not keyword stuffed) via templates and treated as real sites regarding linking techniques but because its black hat the techniques are extremely fast cos they don't have to worry about humans except for the main site. Its a real science and to be honest when you see a professional using these techniques it's bloody amazing. Remember its not illegal, its against the search engines terms and conditions to which the penalty is being de-listed. I'm sure if you think hard about it you'll find a situation where many people would benefit from this. There are many situations where this type of promotion is worth considering. It's a lot more wide spread than people think. Cheers Pete
