Effective presentation

Am putting a mechanical systems training program on line.

Program will be divided into topics, subtopics, and sub-sub topics.

Topics will be keywords most searched for.

Would like to organize presentation using numbers to be provide easy reference between topics similar to:
1.0.0 Topic
1.1.0 Sub-topic
1.1.1 Sub-sub topic

Question, will such a numbering system have adverse effects on search engine response to key words?
