I have been working on one of the seo projects related online health insurance. I am doing all the activities like article submission, directory submission, social bookmarking, forum posting and blog commenting, but not getting the desired result as the keywords keep on jumping and some are still on the same position showing no improvements. Kindly suggest some different activities other than these one which will prove to be more effective and result oriented.

Check the website contents how much they are related to those keywords if keywords are not related to contents done this kind of situation occur. I am facing the same kind of problem my company website have little text or less contents for advertising agency so i am not getting good ranking against this word for last 7 to 8 months. As i check the contents with webmaster tool of google i found i have less content related to advertising that why i am not getting desire results.

My Suggestions are:

Review your website content.
Your deeplink should have qualitative long-tail keyword rather than exact match. Google is now trying to deteriorate the traffic of websites having exact keywords.
Better Internal Linking
Website Design
Sumbit xml site map on Google webmaster tool
Submit RSS feeds and atom feeds to other sites.
Your website should not be filled with ads. Google will now trying to penalize the websites flooded with ads.

The niche you are in is extremely competitive and being so, it’s really hard to cut out a space in search results. I’d suggest that you start off with keywords of medium competitiveness and then, as and when you gain ranking, you may shift to highly competitive ones.

Update the website content and remember it should be unique. Then create the signature only on the relevant forum sites and post the do follow bookmarking. I followed these techniques and getting the result on my keywords. Now they are on the first page.

For getting the keyword position , provide the meaningful , unique and related content with that. Try to target the keyword in each technique. Like use the keyword in video , in the blog and in many terms. But be careful not to use much of the keyword as it would be consider as illegal. And use on page techniques for getting the keyword position.

Content is treated as king, so the content which used in the website page should be fresh, meaningful and unique. Keep on performing Link building process such as Forum posting with updated signatures, Blog Commenting with do-follow attributes, social bookmarking, Article Submission, Directory submission, Web 2.0 and others. Other than these techniques you can also try SMO (Social Media Optimization) and PPC (PAy per Click) for getting heavy traffic on your website.
