Keyword stuffing is considered to be an unethical search engine optimization (SEO) technique. Keyword stuffing occurs when a web page is loaded with keywords in the meta tags or in content. The repetition of words in meta tags may explain why many search engines no longer use these tags.

Keyword stuffing occurs when the keywords repeat too much in a web page. Normally the standards of keyword density id 3-4% in a page but if anyone exceed the limit and repeated keywords frequently then it would be termed as stuffing. It belongs to the black hat technique.

Keyword stuffing which actually refers to the technique of using excessive number of keywords while adding new content pages to the websites was once considered to be workable and a few years ago, when on-page optimization was very important, you could find certain websites with only a few links but listed at the top of big search engines because of higher keyword densities.

Google and other search portals have edited their ranking algorithms and today, such methods will not help websites having better chances of ranking high on the internet, especially in competitive niches and web fields which demand having lots of one-way links to have real chances of getting top positions. Always try to write contents for your web readers and not to affect search sites.

It's underhand and Google doesn't like it.
As others have said, it's basically loading a page with text and metatags to bring in the search engines.
CountryBoy does not endorse such tactics. Web pages should always be constructed for the enjoyment of real people, rather than SE bots.

Keyword stuffing is basically adding the same keywords in an article, repeatedly. It has over keyword density limit and sites that has articles with keyword stuffed is penalized. Its a black hat method you should avoid doing, a lot have been accidentally doing this in their own blogs.

When we use targeted keywords again and again in content and it looks over uses and makes no sense then we call it keywords stuffing. So we should never use keyword stuffing because SE can penalize website. There is keyword density through which we measure used keywords density.

Keyword stuffing is the practice of inserting a large number of keywords into Web content and meta tags in the attempt to artificially increase a page's ranking in search results and drive more traffic to the site. A keyword is a significant term that is relevant to the content in question.Keyword stuffing is considered an unethical SEO (search engine optimization) technique at best and an attack technique at worst. The practice is often used to drive traffic to fraudulent or malicious websites.

as far as i can tell, keyword stuffing doesn't even work because google only recognizes a certain number of keywords before it moves on. so, if you have a long list, google will only be seeing a small part of it.
